I am a preserving primary school teacher, in fact I am in my last semester of university and will soon be a real teacher.
This blog has been created for a variety of reasons, they are:
- To share my teaching adventures.
- Share free resources that I have made.
- Share websites, links and resources that I have found useful and valuable.
- To discuss different topics on education.
I am sure I will find some more reasons as time progresses.
I decided to create this blog because I wanted to share the resources that I find and make, with you. As a pre-service teacher we do not have a lot of money and spend hours upon hours, while on prac, teaching and preparing lessons. Most of the time getting up at 6am to be at school by 8am and then not leaving till around 4pm or sometimes even 5pm. Then we go home and spend hours preparing for the next day and the week to come. Most of the time creating our own resources or using the ones we find available online or in books we are provided with. As we do not have much money buying resources is not really a option and even if we wanted to, especially resources that aren't digital, we are not able to as most of the time we only find out what our lessons are a day or two before.
Anyways, my point is I want to share my resources, tips and ideas that I come up with or find. This is because we all have busy schedules and money is almost always tight. Plus why not share?
Especially if it is something that I was going to create anyways. I know that I have found free resources online sometimes and they have just been things that I would not of thought of doing, or they have been just what I needed and have saved me from spending valuable time creating them. If I can save anyone time and money by providing them with the resource that they need for free, because I have previously made it for a lesson then this blog has done its purpose.
